We know you have more companies than ever after your dollar these days. And when it comes to fashion, we also understand that many streetwear brands offer products similar (not the same) to ours. But let us take two minutes of your time to highlight what sets us apart from those who merely imitate the culture.
The details matter to us
We’re selective about the fabrics we choose. Prior to our online store launching in 2022, we spent five years before that obsessing over product development. We gave away our tees and hoodies to consumer test groups to collect feedback about the overall quality of our products, testing for fit, comfort, life-cycle, and style.
Born in it, not sworn in it
Hip-Hop is in our DNA as a company, and authenticity is Hip-Hop's backbone. We as fans buy into our favorite artists because we believe them. We want FRSH League to follow the same path. As a brand, we are inspired by the iconic fashion that was made popular by Hip-Hop’s most authentic trendsetters of its 50-year history. These timeless styles are forever embedded in the culture, and they impact our creative process. What do we mean? Here are just a few examples from the 80's and 90's:
In the late 80’s, NWA was the symbol of “standing at the intersection of Hip-Hop, sports, and streetwear”(what's up Raider nation?!). Other styles like the custom tracksuit, bomber jacket, and oversized coats became a staple in streetwear due to the impact of legends like LL Cool J, Run DMC, Slick Rick, Eric B. & Rakim. And who could forget the importance of the 90's? Remember the feeling of sliding that pullover Starter jacket over your head? Or how about when you first saw the original Fubu-05 jersey? Or an Akademiks sweat suit? A Roc-a-Wear tee? How about the Avirex leather? Or The Al Wissam? (What Up Doe!)
This medley of inspiration, excitement, and nostalgia is what drives us. We’re obsessed with making clothes that rekindle the supercharged feelings that we had when we were coming up. We call that Certified Streetwear.
Our belief in the importance of authenticity is what inspired us to create Team Certified. Certified is the apex of self-validation. To be certified is to be a professional in a world of amateurs. Nothing better describes FRSH League. We know you can relate, which is why we work tirelessly to design the gear that speaks to and through you, letting the world know exactly who you are.
- Stoops and Tone
